If I have gone too long without taking photographs I get a little stir crazy. It's a blessing though really, because it makes me take risks and photograph things I would normally not think of if I am too busy. Yesterday I decided to photograph one of my favorite places, home. I LOVE my little house. For those of you who know anything about our lives you know that we have been in some unique living situations for the past 3 years. It's just so nice to have somewhere (no matter the size) that I can call home and feel comfortable in.  Our home is peaceful and soothing, and Jude actually has his own room!!! I didn't take any pictures of his room though, he was taking a nap. That just might be the next thing I do.

I have loved the rain for as long as I can remember. 

There is peace with rain...pitter pattery wet peace.

Since I was a kid the rain has always drawn me out of the house. I would bundle up in my grandmas rain jacket, grab an umbrella and a dog and head outside ready to explore. 

It always made me feel like my neighborhood was somewhere new and there would be new things to see and experience. This is how I still feel today. With the first drop of rain I am itching to get outside and see how different things will look. The clean smelling air, the sparkling sidewalks...I have always longed to find some secret pathway that lead to a secret garden.

I couldn't resist getting out and photographing my little nook of paradise and really appreciate the beauty of where I am so blessed to call home. These photos are just within feet of my front door. Isn't it pretty?
